It’s impossible know how history books will speak of the war in Iraq, much will depend on the future in the country and especially by whether or not there will be a strong democracy and return peace and serenity with the end of guerilla terrorist .

ITALY – June 11, 2008 - I don’t think and never have thought that Americans have gone to Iraq only and exclusively for the good of the Iraqis and to free in a disinterested way the population of that collapsed country from the tyrannical Saddam Hussein dictatorship.

However I can’t never think that they have done that war for the oil: today in Iraq there is a democratic government make off-Occidental supported by United States of America, and yet the Iraq’s oil keeps on being sold to Russia and France, through the company “Total”, according to the contracts, never modified, stipulated by the previous regime of Saddam.

Actually nothing as changed, according to a dossier of the “Sole24Ore” published in the autumn 2007, on the movements of the Iraq’s oil than before the war.

To understand the motivations of the attack in Iraq is necessary knowing the United State’s mind state after the attack of September 11 suffered by the Islamic terrorists who have had in the Saddam Hussein Iraq one of the narrowest allies: we remind the threats of the same Saddam, after the attempt to the twin towers, against the U.S.A.

Really in the autumn 2002 the sanguinary despot started not respecting the ONU agreement which had foreseen, since 1991, that the commissaries had to come in every month to check that the regime was not building mass destruction weapons.

We can’t know than Saddam was realizing that type of weapons (for as Americans say the tests had), but without doubt for logic each of us is pushed to think that he is plotting something against the west if he it has decided that the commissaries who must check his armaments will not enter any more his country.

That then the mass destruction weapons have never been found, isn’t a fundamental element to my warning: Saddam could have to destroy them or to sell them as soon as it realized that it would lose the war.

United States have suffered the attack of September 11 and the dread, very high, clung to be again by terrorists Islamics he has pushed to a defence, them to my way of seeing it legitimates.

The war (as in Iraq as in Afghanistan) has not declared by Bush, but by Bin Laden, with Al Quaeda & partners when, with the attempts of New York (September 11, 2001), London and Madrid struck the heart of the western world killing thousands of innocent civilians without any motivation, if not religious/ideological/terrorist.

United States are not to criticize, but to support because fighting the Islamic terrorism, they try, as they have always done in their history, to defend the freedom and the democracy in the world: do not forget that the Fascist Italy and Europe gained by the Nazism, have been also freed thanks to the intervention of the Americans, troops bearers of freedom and democracy here by us if today we are free to express ourselves and have the rights that our constitution guarantees us, we owe it to the Americans.

Still I remember how the anti-Americans ones who wind between us were telling to the beginning of the war in Iraq that Bush and Saddam are friend and that they would not have done him anything about evil.

In reality that tyrannical dictator was killed according to Iraqi law after a regular process that has condemned.

Moreover the true and real war Americans have won in few days, taking Baghdad and driving the sanguinary Saddam regime away. Since that moment a terrorist guerrilla warfare which has pointed out the strategy mistakes of Colin Powell and other American strategists, but in Iraq has been begun he son made the elections, with a very high flow to the urns: the people has challenged terrorists and kamikaze just to go to vote expressing their opinion, showing to be very much stuck to democracy and willing of a new season of development, which can arrive in those countries only under the western guide.

The hope is that one day we will not have to hear more reports of kamikaze attacks, terrorist massacres and fights between Shiites and Sunnis any more: the moderate Islam, luckily, there is and he has shown: making sure that he prevails than to the terrorism fighting the violence and fighting to take back peace, serenities, freedom and democracy where instead social antiquated and medieval structures still exist for fault of despots who, as Saddam, oppress the population forcing it to suffer.
